Review: NARS Laguna Multiple

I have a love/hate relationship with the NARS multiples.  While they are described as being "multi-use" products that can be used on the eyes, cheeks, or lips I have really struggled to find a color that I'd want to use on all three of those areas. I also think that many of the colors offered as a multiple look great in the tube but apply so incredibly sheer that they can be used on the cheeks as a highlighter at best.

Originally I was afraid of the Laguna Multiple because of it's color because I assumed that it would be too dark and too brown for my light skin.  I was, however, completely wrong!  I noticed Fleur of FleurdeForce on Youtube use this in one of her videos and was surprised that someone with blonde hair and fair skin would have this in their makeup collection.  After seeing that I decided to try it out for myself with hopes that it would give a nice, highlighted glow to my skin.

As you can see in the swatch below, when directly applied to the skin without blending it applies as a golden brown color that is very similar to the Laguna powder bronzer (hence the name).  However, on the right of the swatch if you look very closely you can see where I blended the multiple into my skin to give a nice, bronzed look.  I apologize that I couldn't get a better picture of the gorgeous glow that this product gives! Beauty blogger fail for sure...

When using this product during my daily makeup routine I like to use my fingers to warm it up a bit and then apply it directly to my cheekbones where I want a touch of illumination and color.  I've found that the NARS multiples have a bit of a dry/powder feel to them and they can be a little hard to blend if applied to the skin directly out of the tube.  I always make sure to use hand sanitizer before touching any makeup with my fingers so don't forget that step!

Have you tried any of NARS multiples? If so comment below and let me know what you think!

Until next time :)

    1. Definitely check it out! I also have the multiple in Copacabana but it's just way too cool for my skin and it makes me look frosty - ew! I was really apprehensive to try Laguna since it looks so dark but it gives a nice, healthy glow without going all frosty on my light skin :)
