How many of you put foundation on your eyelids before doing your eye makeup? Most people have discoloration around the eyes due to blood vessels, thin skin, etc so I would never even think of putting on foundation and NOT covering my eyelids in the process. It just doesn’t make sense to me!
Unfortunately I feel like by putting foundation on my eyelids before putting on primer that I’m reducing the efficacy of any products that are put on thereafter. I feel like primer should always sit right against the skin for the best results, but how can I get the best results if I need to use foundation first? It’s a serious conundrum.
Well, thanks to Senna Cosmetics and their totally transforming eyeshadow primer I don’t have to worry about this any longer! Score!
The Senna Totally Transforming Eyeshadow Primer is rich with antioxidants and botanical peptides such as hibiscus (firming) and sleepy morning extracts (brightening) while providing a smooth, neutral, and long-wear surface for all eye colors. It acts as a color magnet, eyelid color corrector, wrinkle minimizer, and eyeshadow fixative which combats eyeshadow dusting, disappearing, and creasing.
This product comes in three colors – light, medium, and dark. I find that medium suits me best if I’m looking for a neutral look but I can also pull off light if I’m looking for some extra contrast behind a brighter eyeshadow look.
I have found that the best way to apply the totally transforming eyeshadow primer is best applied with a synthetic concealer brush since it allows me to be more precise with my application. This formula is also on the thick side so I find that by using a brush that I pick up just the right amount of product.
Overall I was very impressed with this product! I put it to the test multiple times with different eyeshadow brands, different weather conditions, and different levels of daily activity and my eyeshadow always looked flawless at the end of the day.
You can buy the Senna Totally Transforming Eyeshadow Primer on the official Senna website where it retails for $24.
