Ok, so as a disclaimer this isn’t really quite a “fall” makeup look in the traditional sense. There’s no oxblood lipstick or antique gold eyeshadow to be found but instead it is more of my “transitional” look. Last week I posted tips & tricks on how to transition your makeup from summer to fall and today I’m going to show you my favorite way to wear those products
|I couldn’t resist being silly in these pictures|
For me fall makeup is all about the eyes. I LOVE bold lips, don’t get me wrong, but right now I feel like a bold eye and neutral lips is more appropriate for the weather. It’s not quite cold enough to go all out “Fall” but yet it’s too warm to keep with the summer trends we all started to know and love.
I know this goes without saying but to create this look I, of course, prepped my skin with Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre. I have been LOVING this lately! It gives my skin an amazing glow and smooths away any dry patches I may have. It’s pretty awesome!
Looking back I
probably used way too many eyeshadow shades on my lid. I got a little carried away, what can I say?! To get this smokey look I layered Alcone at Home Perfect Eyeshadow in the shades #1 (a vanilla cream) and #7 (a light brown) over the lid and then placed shades #6 (cranberry), #9 (matte black), and #18 (iridescent taupe) in the crease. I then used the Perfect Eyeliner Pen to create a defined line across my lashes. Finish it off with a volumizing mascara like Makeup Forever Smoky Lash and you’re good to go!
For bolder eye looks I like to soften my cheek area by applying a soft pink blush. The Alcone at Home Perfect Blush in shade #4 is pretty perfect and sort of reminds me of NARS Orgasm. It looks good on everyone!
Nude lips are definitely my go to these days and Alcone at Home has a few great options in their creamy lipstick range in the shades #7 (a sheer nude) and #8 (a soft pink. I know – it looks super dark in this picture. We’re working on it!)
In a few more weeks once it starts to feel like Fall I’ll start to whip out the vampy colors but for right now I’m really digging this smokey eye look!
