You know, I can’t believe that there was a time where I didn’t fill in my brows… they are SO IMPORTANT to your overall look! Seriously. I’m a little embarrassed to say that I’m 28 years old and I’ve only been regularly filling them in for about the last year to year and a half… how crazy is that?! Why didn’t you guys tell me that I was TOTALLY WRONG and needed to get my life together? I don’t even have an excuse for my blatant lack of brow disrespect… I just thought I was too cool I guess. I look at pictures of me BB (before brows) and shudder. How did I go this long?!
At least I’ve been regularly maintaining and shaping them through tweezing/threading/waxing since I was 12, right? Can I at least have that victory?
Needless to say, now that I’ve seen the light I’ve tried tons and tons of brow products. Seriously – powder, wax, pencils, markers, you name it, I’ve been all over it. I had never tried a brow pomade, though, so when I heard all my friends raving about the Anastasia DipBrow Pomade I knew it was something that I had to try for myself. During a recent Sephora trip I decided that it was time to see what all the fuss was about and the Anastasia DipBrow Pomade in Chocolate officially became mine.
Anastasia DipBrow Pomade comes in a hefty glass jar that is very reminiscent of gel eyeliner and the range contains 5 colors ranging from blonde to ebony so there is definitely a shade for everyone. I picked up Chocolate which is the second darkest shade but honestly I probably could have gone with Dark Brown which is in the right in the middle of the range.
Let me just way – WOAH. A little goes a long way! I’ll admit – the first few times I used this product I used way too much and my eyebrows looked like they were drawn on with a permanent marker. Luckily this mishap was experienced in the privacy of my own home while product testing but… yeah… I looked crazy. Now I make sure to dip my angled brush into the product and then gently brush the pomade through my brows placing it where I need balancing. I don’t know why I went all crazy with this product since I’m typically pretty careful with my brows… I guess I was excited!
Anastasia DipBrow Pomade has the creamiest formula ever. It goes on smoothly and effortlessly which makes it incredibly easy to use. The staying power is ridiculous as well! Once the product sets (which is only a few seconds after initial application) it does not budge. I mean, I rubbed my eyebrows HARD and they were still perfect and pristine as ever. Even when I got my face wet they stayed put, determined to hold up perfectly until I forcefully removed them with makeup remover. This is THE product to use if you have oily skin or if you are looking for a trustworthy product that you can count on to look flawless throughout a long day and night.
The eyebrow on the left has been filled in with DIPBROW and the right is untouched.
Check out those brows! And look at the tiny amount of product I’ve used so far! I’ve been using the Anastasia DipBrow Pomade daily for two weeks and have hardly used any product. At this rate I’m pretty sure I’ll never need to buy another brow product as long as I live!
Anastasia DipBrow Pomade retails for $18 and can be purchased on the official Anastasia website, Sephora, and Ulta stores nationwide. Considering that you’ll probably never need to buy any other eyebrow products for the rest of your life after this I think $18 is a total steal!
