As a beauty blogger few things get me more excited than these three words: The Makeup Show
Seriously. This show is INSANE. It’s so much fun to connect with my other beauty blogger friends (some who I only get to see during this one joyous occasion each year) while learning about what’s new and exciting in the professional makeup world. It’s pretty much the best thing ever.
This year I’m really excited about the educational opportunities that are available and I’m really looking forward to these classes in particular:
Contouring and Highlighting with NARS Matte Multiples and Contour Brushes – Cindy Rodriguez for NARS Cosmetics << You know I love me some NARS so I’m really excited about learning about their new products and revamped brushes!
Unlocking Creativity by Playing With Pigments -Kevin James Bennett for Naked Cosmetics << I own a few Naked Cosmetics pigment stacks but I admittedly don’t use them enough. I’m really looking forward to hearing what Kevin James Bennett has to say about them!
Pearls of Wisdom- Beauty, Business and the Base for Success– Eve Pearl for EVE PEARL << Hearing Eve Pearl speak last year was one of the highlights of my entire Makeup Show weekend and I can’t WAIT to hear what she has to share this year.
Mastering the “No Makeup” Look – Cory Bishop from Gorgeous Cosmetics << Because really, who doesn’t want to look perfect all the time? The “No Makeup” look is something that I’m always wanting to learn more about so this should be right up my alley.
Makeup Artist 101 Essentials to Completing A Professional Makeover– Renolyn “Ren Ren” Monteloyola for Graftobian Make-Up. << Ren is one of my best beauty blogger friends and I am so excited to sit in on her seminar! She’s a great artist with amazing tips & tricks so I know this is going to be really fantastic.
And, of course, like any makeup addict I’m excited to SHOP! The Makeup Show is a great opportunity to connect with brands and get pro-only discounts on tons of brands. With pro discounts on amazing brands like NARS, Makeup For Ever, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC), MAC, and more I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little afraid for what’s about to happen to my wallet…
The Makeup Show will be held on May 4, 2014 from 9am – 6pm as well as May 5, 2014 from 9am – 5pm at the Metropolitan Pavilion (125 West 18th Street, NYC). Check out a full list of exhibitors, keynote speakers, and more on the official makeup show website.
Until next time 🙂
