I’m going to level with you – the Sigma “Lose The Halo” lip concealer is totally one of those products that you don’t realize you need until you already have it. I know it might be easy to say things like “Oh, I’ll just use regular concealer” or “I don’t want to look washed out” but trust me on this one… this product is an absolute game changer!
I picked up the Sigma Lip Concealer while shopping at IMATS New York City a few weeks ago and the first thing I noticed was its creamy consistency. I love that it doesn’t have a dry formula (like standard face concealers might) that will accentuate dry patches on the lips! It’s also not excessively creamy so it won’t slip off of your lips. If I had to compare it to anything I’d say it has the formula of a high end cream finish lipstick. Not matte, shiny, or heavy but perfectly smooth with a slight “glow” to it.
The Sigma Lip Concealer is blendable and was designed to erase the natural lip color on any skin tone while helping your lip color of choice to come off true to color after application. I personally use it under EVERYTHING and carry it around in my purse for touchups. It’s become an integral part in my makeup routine! It creates the perfect nude lip when paired with a nude lipstick or gloss and makes red lips incredibly vibrant and beautiful. You can even use it as a touchup product along the outer edge of the lips to create a perfectly crisp lip line. I feel like it also helps my lipstick to last longer. Score!
Upon first swatch I was a little nervous that the product would be too orange and dark for my lips but as you can see below it’s not bad at all! It helps to color correct, neutralize lip color, and doesn’t look crazy. If you have darker skin don’t be afraid to use this! The lighter color will allow for greater contrast between your desired lipstick color and your skin that you might not be able to get otherwise. Definitely give it a shot no matter what!
The Sigma “Lose The Halo” Lip Concealer retails for $15 and can be purchased on the official Sigma website.
