Full coverage five minute makeup? Yes! It CAN be done!
I don’t know about you but I don’t always have the time (or the desire) to do a complete makeup routine from start to finish. Some days I just want to make myself look presentable while still looking natural, is that too much to ask? I had recently given up on finding a five minute makeup routine that works for me because it seems that a makeup routine can go one of two ways: you can get it done quickly with minimal products and still not feel confident (if you have trouble areas like I do) or you can spend time priming, concealing, and setting to your heart’s content for a flawless complexion. There had to be a middle ground, right?
Oh yes, there is! Let me introduce you the It Cosmetics “Your Skin But Better’ CC Cream. When I use this product I can get full coverage without the need to use an additional concealer which cuts my routine WAY down. It also contains SPF 50 broad spectrum sunscreen so I love that I can wear it without worrying whether or not my skin is protected from the sun. It Cosmetics actually designed this product to be an all in one, full coverage, multi-tasking product and I have to say, they killed it on this! Don’t believe me? Check it out!
In the picture above the first is of me with no makeup (obviously), the second is with only the It Cosmetics CC cream (no concealer, powder, etc), and then the last photo is after my entire 5 minute makeup routine is completed. Not too bad, right?
For this natural makeup look I used the following products (in this order):
Tarte Cosmetics Park Avenue Princess Matte Waterproof Bronzer (Check out my review here)
Manhattan Volcano Xtra Explosive Volume Mascara (Not available in the US)
You might notice that I didn’t use a primer underneath my CC Cream… I didn’t need one! The It Cosmetics CC Cream has great lasting power and on my rushed mornings I love that I can skip this step without worrying that my makeup is going to be slipping and sliding all over the place. If I know it’s going to be especially hot outside I’ll wear one but for daily wear it’s not necessary. I do set it with a translucent powder, though, since I like a more matte finish. By itself the CC cream gives a really nice dewy finish (as you can see from the second picture in the collage above) but I’m not always in the mood for that.
What I love the most about this routine is how soft and feminine it looks while still looking fresh and put together. The It Cosmetics CC Cream isn’t lying when they say that it looks like “your skin but better” and I love that I never feel like I’m wearing a mask or looking overly made up. It’s pretty much perfect!
