3 Easy Ways to Transition Your Makeup from Summer to Fall #FallForBold

I am that girl that absolutely loves everything about Fall but do you know what my absolute favorite part is? The makeup, of course! Don’t get me wrong – I love me some pumpkin flavored treats but there is just something about transitioning from barely there summer makeup and bright colors to something more substantial and vampy that makes me really happy. That’s why I’m so excited about today’s post because I’m going to share with you a really easy Fall makeup tutorial using drugstore products! Right now Duane Reade/Walgreens stores are having a sale on Revlon so I decided to feature a few of their products so you can take take advantage of the discounts and stock up on some fall-favorites.

You guys know me… I’m a smoky eye lover through and through so my favorite thing to do when amping up my look for any season is to change up my lip color because it’s just so easy! The rich, bold shades of Fall just call to me and I for sure wear more lipstick during this season than I do the rest of the year combined. How crazy is that? I have yet to meet a Fall lip color that I don’t love (seriously – give me all the dusty roses, bronzed nudes, and deep reds)!

For this look I used a few key Revlon staples like their Photoready Prime + Antishine Balm because while I personally am ready for Fall the weather has other plans and it is very much still summer here in NYC. This primer helps my makeup to go on smooth and last all day while giving me a smooth, poreless finish.

My eyebrows are courtesy of the Revlon Brow Fantasy Duo (that gel gives me serious life) and my mascara is the Revlon Bold Lacquer Length & Volume mascara. I also used a damp makeup sponge to blend a bit of Revlon Cream Blush in “Charmed” on the apples of my cheeks for a subtle rosy glow. I’m not a huge blush fanatic right now so I like that with a cream blush I can get a barely there flush that looks natural and not overdone.

BUT THE LIPSTICK. Let’s talk about that, shall we? I know I previously ranted about how lipstick is my favorite thing ever in life so I won’t go over that again…

Upon first glance I can see how you might think that the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in the shade “Softsilver Rose” wouldn’t exactly be your traditional Fall shade but I’m still obsessed with it because it is SUCH a great transitional color! It’s perfect for people like me who are yearning for something different than typical summer makeup but who don’t want to go all in and start wearing dark, matte lipstick in August. I also think that soft pinks like this really add a bit of interest to an otherwise “traditional” seasonal makeup look. I topped Softsilver Rose with the Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in the shade Supernatural for a bit of shine and if it’s not the perfect semi-bold Fall lip then I just don’t know what is.

I don’t know about you but I’m a visual person so check out my video that explains three easy ways to transition your makeup from summer to fall:

Remember how I mentioned that Revlon products will be on sale at your local Walgreens (or Duane Reade if you’re in NYC like me)? Yep, it’s true and as long as you mark your calendars and shop the Revlon Beauty Must-Have In-Store Event between August 16-22 you’ll get a ton of savings offers to include Buy One Get One 50% off on all Revlon face, eye, and lip products. You will also earn 1,000 Balance Rewards points with every Revlon purchase as well as special pricing on Revlon’s Core Nail Polish collection. $3.99 for a bottle of nail polish? Yeah, I’ll take one of everything, please.

How are you getting ready for Fall makeup looks? Are you a bold lip fanatic like me or do you have other steps you take to transition from Summer to Fall? Comment below and let me know!

Until next time 🙂
