This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Walgreens. The opinions and text are all mine.
Call me cliche, but I have always been a firm believer that the best summer makeup look is one that is minimal while still being put together with bronzed skin that seems to glow from within, polished eyebrows, and (if you’re feeling daring or find that you have a few extra minutes in the morning) a focus feature while keeping everything else subdued. For me, that feature is my eyeliner but for others, it might be a bold lip, or a punchy cheek color. The opportunities really are endless!
I am forever up for a good challenge, so it should come as no surprise that when I was presented with the opportunity to team up with Jordana and Walgreens to create a summer makeup look for $20 or less, I was over here like “I volunteer as tribute!”
I LIVE for things like this. I already use a variety of Jordana products in my daily makeup routine so I knew that this challenge was right up my alley. I’ve been using Jordana for years because their products are high quality at a super affordable price point which makes updating my makeup collection easy and effortless as the seasons change and I’m experimenting with different looks.
Did I mention that Jordana is a proud member of PETA and The Leaping Bunny Program which means all their products are cruelty free? There is literally something for everyone!
As I previously mentioned, I wanted my summer makeup look to focus on a few key things: bronzed and glowing skin, polished eyebrows, nude lips, and a BOMB cat eye. For me, my cat eye makeup is somewhat of my “signature” look (sometimes I like to pretend I’m Adele or Amy Winehouse, it’s fine) so that was something I knew I had to incorporate. I kept the look minimal overall, though, by foregoing eyeshadow and loud lipstick while focusing on making sure my skin looked healthy, glowing, and like I had just spent all weekend at the beach. Who says that summer makeup has to be only tinted moisturizer, clear mascara, and lip balm? Not me.
For this look I used the following Jordana products:
Sculpt N’ Go Creamy Contour Stick (Medium – $4.99)
Glow N’ Go Creamy Strobing Stick (Pearl Glow – $4.99)
Quickbrow Micro Eyebrow Pencil (Dark Brunette – $3.99)
Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner Pen (Black – $2.99)
Easyliner For Eyes (Black – $2.99)
Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara (Black – $3.99)
Easyliner For Lips (Rock N’ Rose – $2.99)
Modern Matte Lipstick (Matte Innocent – $2.99)
Total for all products: $29.92**
(**I already owned the Modern Matte Lipstick, Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner, and Easyliner for Eyes so my total spent at Walgreens, before discounts, was $20.95. Not a bad deal at all!)
